MANTIS ® (Green Mantis) is a programmable, nanoliter micro pipetting, low dead space residue, non-contact automatic liquid separation device; It can stably separate various liquids, including some special substances such as cells, proteins, enzymes, primers, substrates, and even liquid microbeads.
Main characteristics
Low dead space volume - The dead space volume in the pipeline during pipetting can cause significant waste of reagents. Mantis can reduce the dead space volume to 6 microliters.
Clean - The liquid pathway can be reused or used once.
Reliable - Non contact micro diaphragm technology, active drainage method for liquid transfer, eliminates the risk of blockage.

Mantis ® The core technology of Green Mantis is microfluidic chip, which has a set of built-in microvalves and micro membranes that work together to accurately distribute a range of liquids of different volumes (0.1 μ L to 2ml). This set of microvalves contains two volumes of diaphragms, namely 100 nL and 500 nL or 1 μ L and 5 μ L, each of which can separate liquids at a rate of 10 times per second.

  • Save reagent usage

To reduce the dead space volume and avoid the waste of precious reagents, the reagents can be directly connected to the chip interface through a dedicated hydrophobic pipeline. The dead volume can be further reduced to only 6 μ L by directly inserting the pipette tip into the chip. Therefore, Mantis ® (Green Mantis) is an ideal configuration for dispensing precious reagents.

  • Intuitive and user-friendly software

MANTIS ® The Green Mantis software provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface, allowing for the design of complex separation processes and plans in just a few minutes. The software can work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to input and output experimental design plans, and the data is compatible with JMP workflow. The software can easily achieve functions such as gradient separation, backfill separation, and concentration homogenization.
System aggregation capability
Mantis ® (Green Mantis) can be easily integrated with mechanical arm devices for grasping orifice plates, and the entire automatic liquid transfer process can be designed through API interfaces.

Multi Chip Switching (MCC)
Mantis ® The (Green Mantis) configuration MCC accessories can automatically dispense up to 6 types of reagents, prepare complex well plates, and test procedures.

Continuous flow separation
By selecting a continuous flow configuration, Mantis can distribute liquid volumes ranging from 5 μ L to 2ml with continuous liquid flow, * suitable for deep hole plates. Users can use standard 50ml Falcon solution bottles or 250ml Nalgene solution bottles as liquid sources for continuous flow accessories.

RFID function and RFID chip
A host configured with RFID functionality, the radio frequency identification (RFID) chip can automatically track all usage data of the chip, including the transport and separation history of the micro diaphragm. The RFID chip will remind users if any reagents have been placed in the wrong position on the body. All chips in the following list can be optionally equipped with RFID functionality.

High throughput chip switcher (LC ³)
Mantis upgrading to LC ³ can greatly expand the types of reagents that can be operated simultaneously by the equipment. Through the LC3 rotary reagent rack, Mantis can automatically select and separate up to 24 types of reagents. If a second LC3 device is selected, the types of reagents can be expanded to 48.
